Lemonade stands in local neighborhoods have been a staple for as long as I can remember. Four young men, Liam, Barry, Knox and Devin along with their wonderful parents kicked off summer by helping support Living Hope by hosting a neighborhood fundraiser in Flower Mound this past weekend. Their local lemonade fundraiser was a huge success!
These amazing third graders and their supportive families wanted to give back to the community and support a cause which benefits people with autism. They remembered one of their previous teachers, Debbie Evans, has a son, Jacob, that rides horses and participates in equine therapy. They chose to donate the funds raised from their lemonade sale to Living Hope Equine Therapy. The Flower Mound Community rocked it and they raised over $1,020.00 with more coming in via online donations!
A huge thank you to everyone involved with raising donations as well as awareness for autism, Living Hope, and the benefits of equine therapy! Their previous teacher, Mrs. Evans, said it best, "These boys, their families, and our community have shown an amazing heart of giving!"
